In addition, Hanny Alshazly, Senior Manager of Business Development and Marketing offered a session to titled “Online Education–Trends, How to Make it Work!” going with the conference theme, “Enabling Student Success” where he discussed and presented several of the issues students and educators face and how to overcome them.
ITS was also pleased to receive an award during the event, which was received for the company’s 10-years of partnership and most recently adding over 250k students to the SunGard community in 2010. Emad Hamad, Regional Manager – Gulf and Hanny Alshazly, Sr. Manager, Business Development & Marketing received the award on behalf of ITS.
SMEUG is the premier Middle East higher education user conference, offering SunGard Higher Education customers, prospective customers, and partners a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and explore the latest developments in administration, learning, collaboration, and achieving an Open Digital Campus.
Last year, more than 300 SunGard Higher Education customers, senior Government/Ministry representatives, prospective customers, and partners attended SMEUG. The event focused on “Higher Education in a Web 2.0 World: Convenience, Collaboration Convergence” and resulted in a unique opportunity for our attendees to network with colleagues, share experiences, gain valuable knowledge, and discuss the development of higher education solutions. This year’s theme “Enabling Student Success: The New Knowledge Economy” promises to showcase the outstanding achievements being made in the region and provide inspiration and guidance to help institutions achieve their strategic goals.
